LAS VEGAS – Jennifer Braster, co-founder and managing partner of Naylor & Braster, Attorneys at Law, was named to Nevada Business Magazine’s 2020 Legal Elite list. Braster has been recognized every year since the program began in 2007.
“It’s an honor to have received this recognition,” Braster said. “I appreciate the support of my colleagues who nominated me and voted in this year’s program.”
In its thirteenth year, Legal Elite depicts the state’s top 3 percent of about 9,000 active member attorneys throughout Nevada. Braster was recognized for her work in commercial litigation and consumer finance litigation.
Nearly 4,500 nominations were received in this year’s program. Each nominee went through several levels of verification and scrutiny to be name to the final list showcasing. Attorneys were subsequently scored based on votes they received from the public.
Braster has been practicing law since 2006, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, consumer finance law, appellate law and animal law. She has represented clients in a variety of business conflicts and currently serves on the State Board of Oriental Medicine. An animal activist, Braster has represented individuals in civil rights cases involving the wrongful shooting of their dogs, including a recent case in which she donated a portion of her fees to a local animal rescue.
The Legal Elite honor is one of several recognitions Braster has received since she co-founded the firm with managing partner John Naylor. She was recently named to the 2020 The Best Lawyers in America list and has been the recipient of the NAWBO Women of Distinction Rising Star Award. Braster has also been honored in a variety of notable programs, including Women 2 Watch of Vegas Inc., Desert Companion’s Top Lawyer in Commercial Law, Mountain States Super Lawyer Rising Star and Nevada Business Magazine’s list of Southern Nevada’s Top 100 Attorneys.
